Photos – My Return to Michigan State University – 1979-1981 (Set One)
-
-
Thiw was my ID card photo back in January, 1980; when I returned to MSU from Seattle, WA.
-
-
Initially I was an Advertising major; and rented a room in this off-campus house in East Lansing with Tom, who I knew from my previous time at MSU, and some fellow students.
-
-
Later I switched majors to Business Administration; and took some photos around campus with Lorie one day, who I met in one of my accounting classes.
-
-
Lorie and I were more than friends, but never really defined our relationship at the time.
-
-
We had a lot of common interests in a variety of areas and were enjoying our time at MSU.
-
-
Actually, she was my best friend at the time, and the person that I most enjoyed being with.
-
-
She was graduating a year later than I was, with a degree in Accounting; and our paths were soon going separate directions as I decided to fly in the Air Force.
-
-
We stayed in touch, and I visited her in Oklahoma prior to leaving on my assignment to Spangdahlem AB, Germany; here’s a view of Spartan Stadium.
-
-
She visited me in Germany during my tour at Spangdahlem AB, on a trip that I call, “An Alpine Adventure – Sets 34-39″…but we were following different life paths at the time.
-
-
Here I am on the left with my good friend and study partner Steve (center) in his fraternity house room, with a fellow frat brother (right).
-
-
Steve and I took a road trip to Traverse City and Petoskey, MI; to swim and explore the area.
-
-
A picture of Steve on a rocky beach at Petoskey, MI, on an overcast day on the rocky Lake Michigan coastline.
-
-
Steve dives straight into a wave on an overcast day when the surf was larger than normal for Lake Michigan.
-
-
I used a different technique, and decided to attempt a “back entry” into the waves.
-
-
I “cleaned up” here for a family photo; the Air Force was now going to be my next adventure.
-
-
With my sister Pam in our side yard in Grand Blanc, MI, on a sunny day.
-
-
This photo was taken in our back yard at Grand Blanc, MI; and I’m now ready to graduate from MSU and join the Air Force to become a navigator.
