After Christmas, David got acquainted with his new friend “mouse” on the family room sofa – in a series of pictures that actually worked out well.
-
-
“Mouse” was a Christmas present, and he immediately joined the other cast of characters and “little friends” that already shared play time with David.
-
-
Of course “mouse” was now the biggest of David’s “little friends” – even outweighing “bear” – but “mouse” was a softy at heart and was really good friends with Donald Duck.

David’s grandfather had a great time playing with him at the piano, and the two of them really enjoyed their time together over the holidays.
-
-
As a music teacher and band conductor back in Germany, David’s grandfather actually knew what he was doing as he taught David some panio basics.
-
-
This wasn’t so much a piano lesson as it was a bonding session, and I think they both enjoyed their time together immensely.

A close up of our Nativity scene brought out the soft colors of the Nao porcelain figures and portrayed an intimate angelic choral moment.

My wife’s father restored Mercedes-Benz automobiles for a hobby and had his own 190 SL, so we went to see some for sale in San Jose.
-
-
This hot pink 190 SL was a real stand out in a crowd, and these classic antique Mercedes-Benz automobiles were fun to look over.
-
-
As a Mercedes-Benz expert, David’s grandfather had an eye for every detail of these cars and especially liked to see the differences between the U.S. and European versions of the cars.
-
-
As a true fan of the classic Mercedes-Benz 190 SL roadster, my wife’s father could have discussed the finer details of these cars all day.
-
-
Over the holidays I used all the skill that I had to make the very best vanilla milk shakes west of the Mississippi River.
-
-
David and his grandfather couldn’t drink them fast enough, and the most precious moment of all was when they shared one out of the same giant glass beer mug.
-
-
The two of them were so enthusiastic while drinking the milk shake that I couldn’t tell which one of them was the winner.
-
-
David was the king of the milk shake that day, and very proud of sharing such a giant milk shake with his gandfather.
