Our friends from England stand beside the, "Spitzhäuschen" - which is sure to be one of the skinniest houses in all of Europe - and you can imagine the scene from hundreds of years ago as horse teams pulled farm wagons past it on their way to and from the vinyards in the hills above.

It was now later in the day and the shadows began to grow longer - I have always loved the elaborate Old World shop signs and architecture of Europe - this view is looking towards the Town Hall or, "Ratskeller" (center).
This statue of St. Michael with golden wings is called the, "St. Michaelsbrunnen" and dates from the year 1606 - standing above the fountain in the Bernkastel-Kues' market square on what was a beautiful summer day - the Town Hall or, "Ratskeller" is on the left.
