Once we approached downtown Hamburg, the central area of the city came into view along the waterfront.

Ships of all sizes and shapes were part of the busy activity on the waterways, and provided so much to see and look at.
Many people around the world live and work on the sea, so for those of us who don't, it's fascinating to see.
