Me and My Piano captures the essence of my early songwriting on the piano, as I worked late into the night getting a new song completed and transcribed onto paper from the piano. It’s an endearing song for me, because it captures all those long, lonely nights on the piano in my early period of songwriting, while later on I wrote mostly on the guitar. I cherish the memories of writing songs late into the night on my piano, and hope you can carry away at least the essence of this love relationship between me, my piano, lyric, rhyme, verse and melody!

I recorded my original song “Me And My Piano” in two takes as demos on Set 15 in 1997, and it’s an autobiographical glimpse into my songwriting done on the piano, yet played on the guitar, “It’s been years in the makin’, Spending long, lonely nights, Me and my piano, Workin’ late into the night…” Enjoy! ♡ 🙂 Mark
