One day we had a garden BBQ in the back yard with friends of ours, whose children also attended Temple Close Nursery School in Bloxham, England.
It was a beautiful sunny day in Bloxham, and life in Oxfordshire was turning out to be a wonderful assignment for us after the difficult beginning.
I squint into the last moments of sunshine, as shade finally starts to cover the patio, during the relaxing afternoon of conversation.
With the nice day and the kids playing in the backyard, no one wanted to hurry along what was turning out to be a splendid day in the garden.
Life for our family while living in England was very relaxing and easy going for the most part, and because the Oxfordshire countryside was “new and refreshing” to our eyes – our stay in Bloxham was turning out to be quite delightful.
The children amused themselves in the yard and garden on a beautiful sunny day, having had a nice BBQ lunch and plenty of opportunity to play in the yard.
In those days I always had the camera ready for a good opportunity to take a picture, and now years later I’m glad that I was able to document much of our years spent overseas.
The yard and garden had responded very well to the care and attention we had put into it over the past year, and even though we were always tenants overseas we treated every property as if it were our own – and gained a lot of enjoyment for our family in the process.
