It was time to say good bye to our friends – pictured here in Medmenham, Marlow; and continue our trip around England on our vacation to visit our previous home in Bloxham, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, The Bluebell Railway standard gauge heritage railway (using steam locomotives), and Ashdown Forest – the home of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, the 100 Acre Wood and Poohsticks Bridge…along with Eeyore and Tigger too!
David and I stand here on the left, with our friend in Medmenham, Marlow, as we get ready to continue our vacation; and I’ll now switch gears a little with Advent beginning tomorrow, which is the first Advent Sunday of 2010 – to begin posting Christmas Songs that I wrote many years ago – and I’ll return to our vacation pictures again in January of 2011.
Here David gets our Ford rental car ready to hit the road and continue along on our vacation; it was nice to be back in England again, and it was my desire to figure out how to make our next assignment be in England again if at all possible.
As David continues to get the car ready for the next leg of our vacation around England, my wife and I though how nice it would be to live in England again; and although every country has its own unique aspects, we found England to be very pleasant and quaint – which we would later have the opportunity to enjoy five years of living in Bridge Street Hamlet and working at HQ 3AF at RAF Mildenhall.
David stretches his legs a bit and runs around the beautiful woods in Medmenham, Marlow, before we all squeezed into the car to resume exploring the English countryside on our vacation; and after posting my Christmas Songs over the next few weeks I’ll resume posting the photos of our vacation…sixteen years ago now in 1994.
