Here David stands in front of the sign when our family went to visit the Ringwall of Otzenhausen or Celtic Circular Wall of Otzenhausen (see the Wikipedia article of the same name) – which is over 2000 years old…and we couldn’t find it in the forest after searching along many different paths!
Having failed in our attempt to find the Celtic Circular Wall, we decided to visit the Bostalsee instead – which was much easier to find – even though we didn’t have either GPS or the internet in those days…if you can imagine that! 🙂
The Bostalsee is the largest recreational lake in SW Germany, offering swimming, sailing, boating, jogging, bicycling, camping and picnic areas for visitors.
We spent an afternoon on the beach and enjoyed our stay – and on a return trip in July we visited the Ringwall – we found it on our second attempt – and visited the Bostalsee again as well.
