In the summer of 1996, our family took a vacation back to the States, and our first stop was to Bellevue, WA to visit our relatives Don and Margrit – here David stands beside their camper in this cropped photo.
We visited Lake Washington at the Marina Park in Kirkland on the downtown waterfront – in this photo Margrit, Don, myself and David pose in front of the lake.
The Intrepid heads out into Lake Washington, on a slightly overcast day with the downtown Seattle skyline off in the distance to the left.
David and I stand along on the Lake Washington shoreline – it was nice to see our relatives again, as our last visit with them was back in the late 1980s.
David stands in the shallow waters of Kirkland’s Marina Park on Lake Washington’s beachfront – we were starting to relax and unwind from the long flight from London, England.
I stand along the Lake Washington shoreline with Kirkland’s Marina in the background – this would be a very nice and relaxing vacation for all of us.
Kirkland’s Marina Park was a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours along Lake Washington’s shoreline – and where I took this photo of an interesting piece of sculpture.
I really liked this bronze sculpture of these school children, full of energy and running through the park! 🙂
